Likutey Halakhos, Birkhas HaShachar 3. Rabbi Nasan Maimon: The origin of the soul of Dovid HaMelech. What is ShoVaViM TaT? This halakha is based on Likutey Moharan Torah 56.
00:00 – (Lesson 098a) The Heichal HaTemuros (Hall of Exchanges) caused by Adam’s exile from Gan Eden (the Garden of Eden) is the source for temporary switching of souls.
04:30 – Reference to Likutey Moharan Torah 31.
06:43 – A person is assisted on the path that he chooses to follow. A person has free will even though this Heichal HaTemuros exists.
11:38 – “Save me from an evil person…” (Tehillim/Psalms 140:2).
16:24 – (Lesson 098b). The last thing we say before going to sleep each night is “Into your hands I place my spirit…” (Tehillim/Psalms 31:6).
38:10 – PARAGRAPH 4. (Lesson 098c). Why the souls of Avraham Aveinu and Dovid HaMelech had to be hidden and then extracted from impurity.
*40:53 – Dovid HaMelech, Adam HaRishon, and Moshiach share one soul. Hashem had to take the soul of Dovid HaMelech away from the side of evil, through Lot and his daughters. Analogy of a raid against terrorists who are holding a hostage, with Hashem on the rescue mission.
41:42 – Iyov (Job) is a gilgul (incarnation) of Terach.
43:06 – Dovid HaMelech was supposed to be stillborn, but he received years from Adam HaRishon, Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov.
*44:30 – Through learning about the life of Dovid HaMelech, we can learn how to fight the battles of our own life through tefila.
50:03 – “Sefer Tehillim is not a history book, it was written for me.”
50:23 – “ShOVaVIM TaT” – is a phrase constructed from the initial letters of the six parshios from Shemos through Tetzaveh. It’s a time for introspection and teshuvah.
The Sofei Teyvos (final letters) of the words ואלה שמות בני ישראל הבאים מצרימה איש וביתו באו spell “Tehillim” and “teshuvah“.
