2Likutey Moharan 82 – Seder veLo KaSeder – Order and Disorder – Dangers of Wealth – Blindness – Parshas Toldos – Meanings of Segol – Parshas Ki Sisa Milchama – War – Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon. (Lesson 471. Recorded 1987-05-10.)
00:00 – Review of 2Likutey Moharan 82 thus far.
12:00 – PARAGRAPH 3b.
13:00 – Difficulties arise when a child feels he has “outgrown” respect for his parents, or when a student feels he has “outgrown” respect for his teacher.
***14:00 – When a person is in need, feeling impoverished, he respects HaShem as being above him. But when a person is wealthy, financially or even in Torah learning, he is in danger of feeling that he doesn’t need HaShem so much.
15:30 – אִם־אֶסַּ֣ק שָׁ֖מַיִם שָׁ֣ם אָ֑תָּה וְאַצִּ֖יעָה שְּׁא֣וֹל הִנֶּֽךָּ – “If I ascend to the heavens, there You are, and if I make my bed in the grave, behold, You are there” Tehillim 139:8. The four who entered Gan Eden. It might seem that the higher a person climbs in Torah, his respect for HaShem would be greater. But in fact, the opposite is true. Why?
20:45 – Sometimes a light blinds a person as in וַֽיְהִי֙ כִּֽי־זָקֵ֣ן יִצְחָ֔ק וַתִּכְהֶ֥יןָ עֵינָ֖יו מֵֽרְאֹ֑ת – “It came to pass when Yitzchak was old, and his eyes were too dim to see…” (Bereishis 27:1, Toldos).

23:00 – Meanings of the Segol. Shekhina is 600,000 Jewish souls. Three dots: the Shekhina is between the Two Hands of HaShem. וְשַׂכֹּתִ֥י כַפִּ֛י עָלֶ֖יךָ עַד־עָבְרִֽי – “…I will place you into the cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with My hand until I have passed by” (Shemos 33:23, Ki Sisa).
***29:00 – Moshe Rabbeinu was the wealthiest Jew alive, but his humility was so great that HaShem’s Shekhina protected him. [End of clip].
30:20 – PARAGRAPH 4. Seder veLo KaSeder is an aspect of milchama – war. Communism vs. Democracy.
***34:10 – NOTE – Account of the Chofetz Chaim zal about false achdus Sheker presents itself as “Achdus” – the three letters are close to one another, while in Emes the letters are dispersed.
38:00 – Parshas Ki Sisa.
