PARAGRAPH 3. When saying the first verse of the Kriyas Shema, we close our eyes to accept the Ohl Malchus Shemayim – Yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven.
PARAGRAPH 4. Shedding tears during the Kriyas Shema is related to the verse “they were weeping at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting” (BaMidbar/Numbers 25:6) in Parshas Pinchas.
PARAGRAPH 5. New souls are created when a person arrives at a chiddush (new revelation of Torah).
