Likutey Tefilos Part 2 – Tefilah 49 – Para. 3 – On Saying Tehillim (Psalms)
[Ribono shel Olam (Master of All Worlds),] …please help me to merit saying Tehillim/Psalms every day with deep sincerity and with all my heart. Please bind my consciousness, my intentions, and my feelings to the holy words of Tehillim to the point that I’m truly connected to the Ruach HaKodesh (Divine Inspiration) that Dovid HaMelech, alav hashalom (King David, peace be upon him) placed within the words of Tehillim. May my saying Tehillim be considered as if the words are being said by Dovid Hamelech himself, may his merit protect us.
And may I merit to find myself [described] within the verses of Tehillim, every day and at every time. By being involved in this way, may I merit to return to You, Hashem, truly and fully, as You revealed to us through the principle of תהלים מסגל לתשובה – “Tehillim brings return” (see Likutey Moharan 2:73).
