15:09 – The tribe of Levi and all the women of Klal Yisrael were exempt from the punishment of the generation of the meraglim (spies). In the merit of Jewish women, the People of Israel merited being rescued from slavery.
*17:11 – The entrance of Klal Yisrael into Eretz Yisrael. In the future Eretz Yisrael will be allocated in a different way because every Jew will have part valley and part mountain, gardens, fields, and all will have equal. But the land will be divided into 13 parts instead of 12 as the original division – the thirteenth allotment will be for Moshiach.
20:09 – The Kohen Gadol must be wealthier than any other kohen.
20:48 – At the time of Yehoshua, the tribe of Levi was not given a portion of the Land, while Ephraim and Menasheh, the sons of Yosef HaTzadik, were considered one tribe each. Why? Because Yosef received the bochorah – the firstborn’s birthright – which is more than the others. When Mashiach comes, the tribe of Levi will be given a portion because Ephraim and Menashe will be combined to become Yosef. Why? Yosef was the opposing force to Esav. Yosef is the flame, Esav the straw. But after Esav is vanquished, Yosef will no longer need that extra power and so he will be equal with his brothers.
*23:07 – The Yud Gimmel Midos of Hashem (the 13 Attributes of Kindness) correspond to these 13 future allotments of Eretz Yisrael.
23:40 – Yaakov Avinu and the power of tefilah (prayer). Moshiach will succeed through tefilah.
28:20 – Yaakov Avinu and the birthright of Yosef HaTzaddik. Rochel gave simanim (secret signs) to Leah. The kindness of her self-sacrifice – to give away her rights to marry the tzaddik – gave Rochel’s firstborn (Yosef) the merit to be considered Yaakov Avinu’s firstborn.
33:59 – Rochel’s behavior teaches modesty to Jewish women. The sign of Shabbos is equalled during the week by the mitzvah of tefillin. What equals the mitzvah of tefillin for women? Tznius (modesty). The mitzvah of tznius is a privilege given to everyone in Am Yisrael.
39:23 – Tznius is more than how one dresses, and it applies to men as well as to women. It also applies to how one speaks and behaves.
42:24 – The Twelve Tribes correspond to the 12 months of the year. The two Adars correspond to Yosef HaTzadik.
