00:00 – PARAGRAPH 18. Fifteen “vuv“s in Emes v’Yatziv – the letter vuv alludes to aitza (advice). The number fifteen combines the seven “Meshivei Taam” with the eight times “emes” (truth) appears in the section of tefilah that follows immediately after.
12:23 – Eight abilities are mentioned in the previous tefilah, Ahavas Olam: “Ve seyn b’libeynu binah…” (give us understanding): to discern, clarify, listen, learn, teach, safeguard, perform, and fulfill.
