13:09 – Children inherit from their father because they bring the blessing of parnassah with them into the world. It’s absurd to imagine that if a person has less children they’ll have more money, when the truth is the opposite.
*17:12 – Tikkun emunah (completion of faith in Hashem) can’t be done in one generation. One of the most important things we can do to educate our children is to teach them to say the Shema. Chinuch bonim (education of children) is an aspect of “His faith is from generation to generation.” (Tehillim/Psalm 100:4).
