Oreyv 3 – Parshas Chayei Sarah – Ratzon HaShem – Yearning for KedushahOhr Ein Sof – רעוא דרעוין – Regret Is Increased רצון – Shabbos Is Teshuvah The Soul Is Ratzon – Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon.
Hilkhos Oreyv 3 is based on 2Likutey Moharan 4.

  • 00:00 PARAGRAPH 6. הִשְׁבַּ֥עְתִּי אֶתְכֶ֖ם בְּנ֣וֹת יְרֽוּשָׁלָ֑ ִם מַה־תָּעִ֧ירוּ | וּֽמַה־תְּעֹֽרְר֛וּ אֶת־הָאַֽהֲבָ֖ה עַ֥ד שֶׁתֶּחְפָּֽץ – “I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem; why should you awaken, and why should you arouse the love until it is desirous?” (Shir HaShirim 8:4). Chokhmei haTeva are the opposite of ratzon HaShem.
  • 15:00 Israel’s yearning for kedushah originates from רעוה דרעוין – the highest level perceivable by man – Ohr Ein Sof – the infinite light of HaShem that emanates no matter what man does.
  • 18:00 PARAGRAPH 7. The holiness of Shabbos is above the holiness of Yom Tov. On Shabbos, the light of רעוא דרעוין is shining directly inot Olam HaZeh. No malacha is permitted on Shabbos. “A Jew who keeps Shabbos is forgiven for all his sins.” At the highest level of Ohr Ein Sof, sins are transformed into mitzvos.
  • 20:00 ***The most important aspect of teshuvah is regret. Another way of expressing this is that the person has an increased desire for kedushah, and yearns not to waste any more time.
  • 24:00 *Shabbos is teshuvah. The essence of teshuvah is the yearning for kedushah, which becomes much stronger after a person does a sin. This is how the sins are converted to mitzvos.
  • 26:00 A person who enjoys Shabbos receives an inheritance that has no boundaries. (Shabbos 118).
  • 33:00 PARAGRAPH 8. Parshas Chayei Sarah. אִם־יֵ֣שׁ אֶת־נַפְשְׁכֶ֗ם – “If it is your will…” (Bereishis 23:8, Chayei Sarah). The main goal of a person in Olam HaZeh is to achieve the most possible ratzon for HaShem, because the soul is ratzon. The word נשמה contains the letters “Moshe נ” – alluding to Moshe Rabbeinu reaching the 50th level of holiness.
  • 36:00 Reference to Likutey Moharan 5 – there’s a connection between time, place and the Torah. The world is divided into 613 parts, each of which is connected to one of the 613 mitzvos. So too, each of the 365 days of the year is connected to a particular mitzvah.
  • 45:00 Closing blessings.
