LH7-06-Geviyas Chov MeyhaYisomim/ הלכות גביות חוב מהיתומים

2024-12-17 – LH7 – CM1 – Geviyas Chov MeyhaYisomim 3 – Para. 9-11 – Parshas Beshalach – Yisro – Ayeh Makom Kevodo – The Power of Physical Gestures – Yetziyas Mitzrayim – Geulah – New Kabbalas HaTorah After Each Exile – Moshiach

Geviyas Chov MeyhaYisomim 3 – Parshas Beshalach – Yisro – Ayeh Makom Kevodo – The Power of Physical Gestures – Yetziyas Mitzrayim – Geulah – New Kabbalas HaTorah After Each Exile – Moshiach – Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon.
Hilkhos Geviyas Chov MeyhaYisomim 3 is based on 2Likutey Moharan 12 – “Ayeh HaSeh”.
00:00 – PARAGRAPH 9. Parshas Beshalach. Ayehu Makom Kevodo. הֲיֵ֧שׁ יְהֹוָ֛ה בְּקִרְבֵּ֖נוּ אִם־אָֽיִן – “…is HaShem with us or not?” (Shemos 17:7, Beshalach).
***04:00 – It’s human nature not to search for HaShem until things get difficult.
07:23 – Am Yisrael’s battle against Amelek prepared them for Kabalas HaTorah.
*09:40 – Q&R about screaming for help vs. calling out to HaShem.
***11:50 – NOTE – When Yisro decided to join Am Yisrael, HaShem announced to the melakhim, c’vayachol, “Stop the world! It’s now time to deliver the Torah!”
13:00 – וְהָיָ֗ה כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֨ר יָרִ֥ים משֶׁ֛ה יָד֖וֹ וְגָבַ֣ר יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְכַֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר יָנִ֛יחַ יָד֖וֹ וְגָבַ֥ר עֲמָלֵֽק – “It came to pass that when Moshe would raise his hand, Israel would prevail, and when he would lay down his hand, Amalek would prevail” (Shemos 17:11, Beshalach). Why Moshe Rabbeinu used a hand gesture, rather than speech, to convey that Am Yisrael should turn to HaShem. A physical gesture is signal, a hint. There are times when speech cannot successfully confront evil, but a more subtle way of communication will. There is power of connecting with HaShem in simply turning the face upward.
19:00 – Q&R about calling out to HaShem from pain. Story of HaShem saving Menashe from cannibals.
*21:00 – NOTE: Analogy of two different students getting different grades on an exam. The further away a person is, the tiniest move a person makes is more powerful.
23:30 – Q&R about Rebbe Nachman’s statement, at times, “I know nothing”.
26:00 – PARAGRAPH 10. Pharaoh imposed even more oppression after Moshe Rabbeinu approached him because the geulah must come from ayeh makom kevodo. Geulah b’Atbash is Keser.
31:00 – Karva Keyl Nafshi – Gaalah. The Baal Shem Tov HaKodesh explains this as the redemption of every person according to their individual level and life circumstances.
***33:20 – Q&R which is more important in tefilah, gratitude or requests? Both aspects are needed. Analogy of asking “What’s more important in a car, the battery or the engine?” or “Who’s more important, Daddy or Mommy?” The answer is: both.
35:20 – Q&R about crying out “Ayeh Makom Kevodo” since we’re supposed to believe that no matter what, HaShem is with us.
***36:40 – NOTE about current events regarding the emergency health care for Rabbi Chaim Menachem ben Leah Kramer shlit”a, may he have a refuah sheleyma.
39:20 – Stories and accounts of people praying to be saved.
43:30 – Q&R – Declaring Rosh Chodesh first requires two witnesses to look up to the sky.
***44:37 – PARAGRAPH 11. After the end of each galus, Am Yisrael merited a renewal of Kabalas HaTorah. After the present exile is over, the kabbalas haTorah of Moshiach’s time will be worldwide.
47:10 – Closing blessings.
