00:26 – PARAGRAPH 13. It’s very important to bring as many Jewish children as possible into the world. Moshiach will apportion the Light of Thousands to every individual level.
03:17 – Moshiach will only be revealed after all the Jewish souls have been born.
03:41 – Uva leTzion.
***04:15 – NOTE: the concept of breaking the Light of Thousands into Hundreds applies to the dynamics between the sefiros.
07:06 – “Ben Chamesh l’mikra” (Pirkei Avos 5:21) relates to Pesach and counting the Omer. Reference to the Arizal in Pri Etz Chaim.
08:00 – When a person reaches the age of 100, he is already partly in the next world.
*09:15 – Moshiach will be called Peleh Yoetz because he will be able to enlighten every person about HaShem according to each one’s capacity, bringing the Light of Thousands down to each one’s appropriate level.
10:15 – Q&R about teaching a student according to his capacity.
***12:00 – A jewish couple should have as many children as possible. Every Jewish child will eventually have a tikkun.
14:00 – Parshas Lech Lecha. אִם־יוּכַ֣ל אִ֗ישׁ לִמְנוֹת֙ אֶת־עֲפַ֣ר הָאָ֔רֶץ גַּם־זַרְעֲךָ֖ יִמָּנֶֽה – “…if a man will be able to count the particles of dust in the world, then your offspring, too, will be countable (Bereishis 13:16, Lech Lecha).
16:22 – Q&R about how a multitude of people facilitates bringing the Light of Thousands into the world.
17:38 – PARAGRAPH 14. וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יוֹאָ֜ב אֶל־הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ וְיוֹסֵ֣ף יְהֹוָה֩ אֱלֹהֶ֨יךָ אֶל־הָעָ֜ם כָּהֵ֚ם | וְכָהֵם֙ מֵאָ֣ה פְעָמִ֔ים – “And Yoav said to the king, ‘May HaShem your G-d add to the people a hundredfold of whatsoever they may be’…” (2Shmuel 24:3). The blessing given to Am Yisrael by Yoav compared to that given by Moshe Rabbeinu: יְהֹוָ֞ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י אֲבֽוֹתֵכֶ֗ם יֹסֵ֧ף עֲלֵיכֶ֛ם כָּכֶ֖ם אֶ֣לֶף פְּעָמִ֑ים – “May HaShem of your forefathers add to you a thousandfold as many as you are…” (Devarim 1:11, Devarim).
18:38 – Moshe Rabbeinu and Yoav had the same intention.
***22:46 – Rebbe Nachman said his greatest Torah is that which he is able to share with others.
23:45 – BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE: Rav Avrohom Sternhartz zal advised Rabbi Rosenfeld zal to continue teaching Torah in the U.S.
26:00 – Q&R about why Moshe Rabbeinu didn’t mention apportioning the Light of Thousands.
***27:04 – PARAGRAPH 15. Reference to Pri Etz Chaim, Rosh Hashanah 4, concerning Shema Yisrael – which corresponds to Binah – the Upper Shekhina – and Baruch Shem Kevod – which corresponds to Malkhus – the Lower Shekhina. הַֽ֜חֲרֵ֗שׁ וַֽאֲאַלֶּפְךָ֥ חָכְמָֽה – “…be silent and I will teach you wisdom” (Iyov33:33).
*30:13 – Malkus is an aspect of Hundreds – Meah Shaarim, and the 100 posts that held up the Mishkan.
30:41 – The mistake of the Anshei Yericho in “wrapping up” the Light of Thousands. Malkhus HaShem reaches even the lowest places, as in וּ֜מַלְכוּת֗וֹ בַּכֹּ֥ל מָשָֽׁלָה – “… and His kingdom rules over all” (Tehillim 103:19).
32:01 – PARAGRAPH 16. Why the phrase “Baruch Shem Kevod Malkhuso LeOlam VaEd” is said quietly.
34:51 – Q&R about the Anshei Yericho “wrapping up” the Shema.
36:40 – Q&R about Beis Hillel vs. Beis Shammai.
35:00 – em>”Baruch Shem Kevod Malkhuso LeOlam VaEd” based on Pesachim 56. Q&R about the mistake of the Anshei Yericho.
36:40 – Q&R Beis Hillel vs. Beis Shammai. NOTE – the more a person advances in Limud Torah, the further down they are able to bring the “Light of Thousands”.
37:01 – Closing notes about Sukkos. The Ushpizen – the Seven Shepherds of Israel who visit the sukkah.
37:27 – Reference to Likutey Moharan 22. There are two different orders of the Ushpizen. One is chronological, and one follows the order of the sefiros, which places Moshe Rabbeinu at the center. Breslov chassidim follow the latter order, therefore Moshe Rabbeinu is the Ushpiz of the fourth day of Sukkos, the 18th of Tishrei, which is the yahrzeit of Rebbe Nachman.
***40:22 – NOTE: Chiddush“Uneshalma parim sefaseinu” וּנְשַׁלְּמָ֥ה פָרִ֖ים שְׂפָתֵֽינוּ – “…and let us render [for] bulls [the offering of] our lips” (Hoshea 14:3) Our tefilah substitutes for the korbonos. The letters of the word פרים correspond to the first and last letters of the words “Pirkei Tehillim”.
42:10 – 70 parim correspond to the 70 nations.
43:00 – NOTE: The Yomim Noraim – Days of Awe – is a time of Yirah – a midah associated with the lion. The word אריה – lion – is an acronym for Elul, Rosh Hashanah, Yom HaKippurim. Through serving HaShem with yirah, Am Yisrael merits His protection: Sukkos is a time of ahava – as in שְׂמֹאלוֹ֙ תַּ֣חַת לְרֹאשִׁ֔י וִֽימִינ֖וֹ תְּחַבְּקֵֽנִי – “His left hand was under my head, and his right hand would embrace me” (Shir HaShirim 2:6). The sukkah is a hug from HaShem.
44:02 – NOTE: The binding together of the Arba Minim represents the unity of Am Yisrael.
45:24 – NOTE: Every mitzvah is a revelation of HaShem’s Shekhina – and this is especially apparent in the mitzvah to dwell in a Sukkah. In the word sukkah – the Samech and Hey (outside letters of the word) equal begematria 65 – gematria of HaShem’s Name A – D – N – Y. The inside letters – Vuv Khaf – equal 26 – the gematria of Y – H – V – H.
46:10 – Closing blessings for Sukkos asking HaShem to protect Am Yisrael completely during this turbulent time and to bring the geulah sheleyma.
