LH7-02-Aydus

2024-09-27 – LH7 – CM1 – Aydus 1 – Part 2 – Aydus 2 – Para. 1-3a – Yahrzeit of the Chofetz Chaim zal – Every Person Is Unique – Rav veTalmid – Two Yuds in Combined Name of HaShem – Thought and Action – Geyrim and Their Families of Origin – Sheker Is Deviation from Unity – Emes – Before and After Creation

Aydus 1 – Aydus 2 – Yahrzeit of the Chofetz Chaim zal – Every Person Is Unique – Rav veTalmid – Two Yuds in Combined Name of HaShem – Thought and Action – Geyrim and Their Families of Origin – Sheker Is Deviation from Unity – Emes – Before and After Creation – Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon.
Hilkhos Aydus 2 is based on Likutey Moharan 51.
00:00 – The 24th of Elul is the yahrzeit of the Chofetz Chaim: Rabbi Yisrael Meir BaR Aryeh Zev HaKohen zal. NOTE from Rabbi Yechiel Michel Dorfman zal about the Chofetz Chaim zal.
05:15 – Every person is unique. Rav veTalmid: upper and lower nedukah. The two Yuds in the combined Names of Y – K – V – K and A – D – N – Y allude to the two witnesses required for testimony in a Beis Din.
06:00 – The souls of geyrim are no longer considered blood relations to their previous families after their conversion to Judaism.
08:30 – Sins that disqualify a person from the ability to serve as a witness in a Beis Din.
12:00 – Q&R – since every person is unique, how can one be higher and lower? When two Jews are together and neither one considers himself above the other, this forms “Tzvei Yiddin” – “two Jews” next to one another, forming two Yuds – the symbol for the combined Names of HaShem. In contrast, two dots, one above the other, signifies the end of a possuk.
15:00 – HALAKHA 2. PARAGRAPH 1 Hilkhos Aydus 2 is based on Likutey Moharan 51.
17:30 – Sheker results from deviating from unity.
21:00 – Reference to Likutey Halakhos, Yoreh Deah, Hilkhos Ribis 5.
21:50 – PARAGRAPH 2. Creation and Pre-Creation. Emes is related to the unity that existed Pre-Creation, while sheker originated after the creation of diversity.
28:30 – Sweetening Din – harsh judgement – by going up to the source of that Din.
29:45 – PARAGRAPH 3. The 2 aydim who establish emes in a Beis Din are related to the beginning of Creation (the transition from Pre-Creation to Creation). Sofei teivos spell אמת.
*35:00 – בְּרָב־עָ֥ם הַדְרַת־מֶ֑לֶךְ – “The King’s glory is in a multitude of people…” (Mishlei 14:28). When many Jews are unified, creation (plurality) is combined with Pre-Creation (unity).
40:40 – Two witnesses are believed because they represent the source of Jewish souls and the state of the world at the very beginning, when it was still very pure.
45:20 – When a Jew tells a lie, he is detaching himself from the Source of his soul – HaShem.
48:40 – Usually, many people will not agree to something false. Note: the only thing that unites the “United Nations” is their hatred for Am Yisrael.
51:00 – Closing blessings. Praise for the members of this shiur.
