00:00 – PARAGRAPH 13. The mitzvos of Yibum and chalitza cause the resolution of dispute. These mitzvos are done in the presence of a beis din.
03:20 – PARAGRAPH 14. Emunas chokhomim brings peace.
08:20 – Q&R – When true rabbis disagree, it’s about a Torah issue – it’s not personal. When the rabbis reach agreement, Am Yisrael receives a new measure of peace.
10:30 – PARAGRAPH 15. Purim. Connection between Haman and the Etz HaDaas: הֲמִן־הָעֵ֗ץ אֲשֶׁ֧ר צִוִּיתִ֛יךָ לְבִלְתִּ֥י אֲכָל־מִמֶּ֖נּוּ אָכָֽלְתָּ – “…Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” (Bereishis 3:11, Bereishis).
16:45 – Rebuilding the Beis HaMikdash is accomplished by repairing emunas chokhomim through nedarim – vows.
19:49 – Reference to Likutey Moharan 22 and to Sichos HaRan 282.
***21:00 – Repair for bowing to idols. The Sutra Achra attacks the feet of the rabbis.
***22:00 – וַיַּ֗רְא כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יָכֹל֙ ל֔וֹ וַיִּגַּ֖ע בְּכַף־יְרֵכ֑וֹ וַתֵּ֨קַע֙ כַּף־יֶ֣רֶךְ יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב בְּהֵאָֽבְק֖וֹ עִמּֽוֹ – “When he saw that he could not prevail against him, he touched the socket of his hip, and the socket of Yaakov’s hip became dislocated as he wrestled with him” (Bereishis 32:26, Vayishlach). The angel of Esav injured Yaakov Avinu’s leg.
*24:00 – NOTE – Today is Erev Tisha B’Av – the custom of eating bread with a hard-boiled egg dipped in ashes. Beginning at Chatzos Yom on Erev Tisha B’Av, the only Torah study permitted relates to or commemorates events of Tisha b’Av.
26:30 – PARAGRAPH 16. וַיָּבֹ֖א עֲמָלֵ֑ק וַיִּלָּ֥חֶם עִם־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בִּרְפִידִֽם – “Amalek came and fought with Israel in Refidim” (Shemos 17:8, Beshalach). Haman is a descendant of Amalek. Refidim alludes to the hands. Lack of emunas chokhomim weakens the hands of the angels who receive blessing from HaShem and are supposed to relay that blessing to Am Yisrael. Reference to Likutey Moharan 57.
29:30 – The Clouds of Glory left Am Yisrael when Aharon HaKohen passed away and therefore Amalek was able to attack. The passing of Aharon HaKohen is an example of HaShem’s punishment of Am Yisrael through taking away their true leaders. Lack of emunas chokhomim is repaired through nedarim.
32:30 – Yehoshua is an aspect of emunas chokhomim.
***33:30 – A person in prison cannot release himself – he needs to have a connection with someone outside his prison to free him. The mission of the student is to reveal the greatness of his rabbi. Rebbe Nachman told his students: “You need me. And I need you.”

42:00 – Repairing the damage of Adam HaRishon’s sin is accomplished through emunas chokhomim.
