Hilkhos Yibum 1 is based on Likutey Moharan 23 and other teachings linked below.
00:00 – INTRODUCTION.
05:00 – PARAGRAPH 1. Restoring the lost sparks from the time of Creation. Zera Kayama – living children.
08:20 – Reference to Likutey Moharan 23.
*11:30 – A person who is entrapped by the desire for wealth will be subject to depression and will find it difficult to make a living. While a person who is satisfied with what they have will merit joy and ease of parnassa – livelihood.
14:00 – The 70 Faces of Darkness oppose the 70 Faces of Torah. All 70 Faces of Darkness are engraved on money.
***17:00 – Gratitude breaks Taavas Mamon.
20:00 – Wealth – for example, money, gold and silver – originates from a very holy place and has many positive aspects. Reference to Likutey Moharan 25. Reference Likutey Moharan 35. Reference to Likutey Moharan 56.
22:00 – The Yetzer Hara especially attacks a soul that has great potential (Sukkos).
23:00 – Spiritual aspects of purifying gold and silver.
14:40 – Reference to Likutey Moharan 13. One of the most important ways that we merit the revelation of Moshiach is through breaking Taavas Mamon.
25:30 – Q&R about why money emanates from a high source. Chesed is compared to silver. Gevurah is compared to gold. The keylim in the Beis HaMikdash were made of gold, silver, and copper.
***29:20 – דּ֣וֹר לְ֖דוֹר יְשַׁבַּ֣ח מַֽעֲשֶׂ֑יךָ וּגְב֖וּרֹתֶ֣יךָ יַגִּֽידוּ – “Generation to generation will praise [elevate] Your works, and they will recite Your mighty deeds” (Tehillim 145:4). One of the most important tasks in life to to refine and elevate Taavas Mamon. Since this process extends over generations, it’s important to have Zera Kayama who are also involved in this tikkun.
***32:00 – One generation to the next “lifts up” the Name of HaShem through refining their own deeds. Reference to Likutey Moharan 17. Reference to Likutey Moharan 69. Reference to Likutey Moharan 280.
***32:30 – וִיהִ֚י נֹ֨עַם | אֲדֹנָ֥י אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ עָ֫לֵ֥ינוּ וּמַֽעֲשֵׂ֣ה יָ֖דֵינוּ כּֽוֹנְנָ֣ה עָלֵ֑ינוּ וּמַֽ֘עֲשֵׂ֥ה יָ֜דֵ֗ינוּ כּֽוֹנְנֵֽהוּ – “And may the pleasantness of the Lord our God be upon us, and the work of our hands establish for us, and the work of our hands establish it” (Tehillim 90:17). Moshe Rabbeinu gave this blessing in honor of the establishment of the Mishkan. The first request for HaShem to “establish” refers to the Mishkan. The second request for HaShem to “establish” refers to parnassah – livelihood – for every individual in Am Yisrael.

36:30 – PARAGRAPH 3. Tikkun for Taavas Maamon.

*50:00 – Wealth comes from the same place that souls come from. Holy money is the light of the soul of the wife. The children are attached to the mother through this wealth. Reference to Likutey Moharan 69.
52:00 – Bringing children into the world involves refinement of Taavas Mamon – “The blood is changing into milk”.
***53:00 – Q&R about bringing more children into the world than it seems one can afford. “HaShem doesn’t want us to fail. He wants us to succeed!” Reference to Likutey Moharan 23.
