Hilkhos Challah 2 is based on Likutey Moharan 34 – The holy good point in every person.
00:00 – PARAGRAPH 1. Overview of Likutey Moharan 34: … וְ֜צַדִּ֗יק יְס֣וֹד עוֹלָֽם – “…and the Tzaddik is the foundation of the world” (Mishlei 10:25). Herpah shever libi – a broken heart. A person needs to receive from the tzaddik, from himself, and from friends in order to repair the negative aspects of a broken heart. Humility is the positive aspect of a broken heart.

Challah is reishis. In the merit of women doing the mitzvah of separating the challah, the world is sustained. “Bereishis” alludes to the holy point of light withing every soul.
*09:45 – “Bread sustains the heart.” A person’s sins weigh his heart down. Bread requires a tikkun so it doesn’t damage the heart. Everything in the world is damaged, therefore everything needs repair.
