2021-01-01 – LH2 – OC2 – Birkhas HaMazon 3 – Para. 7-8 – Bracha Hatov veHaMaytiv – Burial of the Martyrs of Beitar; Kos Shel Bracha; Drinking Wine in Measure; Shabbos Parshas VaYechi is Called Shabbos Chazak

Speaker: Rabbi Nasan Maimon. This halakha is based on Likutey Moharan 47.
00:00 – PARAGRAPH 7. Bracha Hatov veHaMaytiv relates to the burial of the martyrs of Beitar. Burial of the dead covers their shame and thus is a kindness to both the deceased and their family.
15:00 – PARAGRAPH 8. Ten requirements for “Kos Shel Bracha” – the cup of wine poured to accompany the Birkhas HaMazon (blessings after a meal of bread).
22:00 – The wine used for the Kos Shel Bracha is related to the tzaddik and tikkun habris.
29:00 – QUESTION: How do we know how much is “too much” alchohol?
48:00 – Why Shabbos Parshas VaYechi is called “Shabbos Chazak”.
