A spiritual light emanates from those two engraved letters at the time of putting them on that strengthens the person who sees that light. But Rav Sheshes was blind. How could he see this light?

44:30 – When Reb Michel zal came to Eretz Yisrael, he was often asked to be the sandek at a Bris Milah. He would ask, “Who was the sandek for Avraham Avinu? – HaShem! A sandek is supposed to give a gift to the child. What gift did HaShem give to Avraham Avinu? Eretz Yisrael!”
