00:00 – HaShem created Adam and Chava back to back and then split them apart so they could interact. This process illustrates how the Oral Torah is intrinsic to the Written Torah.

07:00 – The 10 Days of Teshuvah. From Rosh Hashanah until Yom Kippur we are preparing to receive the Second Luchos.

15:00 – HaAzinu.  כִּ֛י חֵ֥לֶק יְהֹוָ֖ה עַמּ֑וֹ יַֽעֲקֹ֖ב חֶ֥בֶל נַֽחֲלָתֽוֹ – “Because HaShem’s portion is His People. Yaakov, the lot of His inheritance” (Devarim 32:9, HaAzinu). Separating Adam and Chava from their original state of back to back.
16:00 – כִּֽי־יַֽעֲקֹ֗ב בָּחַ֣ר ל֣וֹ יָ֑הּ יִ֜שְׂרָאֵ֗ל לִסְגֻלָּתֽוֹ – “For HaShem chose Yaakov for Himself, Yisrael for His treasure” (Tehillim 135:4).
*17:15 – Parshas VeZos HaBerakha. מִסִּינַ֥י בָּא֙ וְזָרַ֤ח מִשֵּׂעִיר֙ לָ֔מוֹ הוֹפִ֨יעַ֙ מֵהַ֣ר פָּארָ֔ן – “…HaShem came from Sinai and shone forth from Seir to them; He appeared from Mount Paran…” (Devarim 33:2, VeZos HaBerakha).
*20:10 – תּוֹרָ֥ה צִוָּה־לָ֖נוּ משֶׁ֑ה מֽוֹרָשָׁ֖ה קְהִלַּ֥ת יַֽעֲקֹֽב – “The Torah that Moses commanded us is a legacy for the congregation of Yaakov” (Devarim 33:4, VeZos HaBerakha). “Torah tziva lanu Moshe…” The Written Torah and the Oral Torah belongs to Am Yisrael.
21:18 – Am Yisrael is special to HaShem.
***23:20 – VeZos HaBerakha – the closing words of the parsha refer to Moshe Rabbeinu’s breaking of the First Luchos. Why did this act demonstrate his greatness?
***25:15 – Parshas Ekev. The Egel HaZahav – Golden Calf – resulted from Am Yisrael’s mistaken calculation of the sixth and seventh hour of the 40th day – which was an error in the interpretation of the Oral Torah (Shabbos 89). Reference to Likutey Moharan 62.
