Shalom depends on mishpat. אֱמֶת֙ וּמִשְׁפַּ֣ט שָׁל֔וֹם שִׁפְט֖וּ בְּשַֽׁעֲרֵיכֶֽם – “…truth, and judgment of peace you shall judge in your gates” (Zecharia 8:16).
