00:00 – HALAKHA 1. A nursing infant receives nourishment from the upper part of his mother, while an animal receives from the lower part of its mother. A human receives nourishment from a higher level: Binah.
02:00 – The four levels of life created by Hashem: Domem, Tzemach, Beheymah, Adam.
06:00 – Why a Sefer Torah is written on the hide of an animal. The obligation for a Jew to write a Sefer Torah. Every individual Jew in every generation has to receive the Torah. Writing is Asiyah – the act of writing is an aspect of elevating from Beheyma to Adam. Reference to Likutey Moharan 19. Those things that are in written form are considered “created”. Writing elevates something from Medameh – imagination – to Zicharon – memory.
