00:00 – לֹא־תִירָ֣א לְבֵיתָ֣הּ מִשָּׁ֑לֶג כִּ֥י כָל־בֵּ֜יתָ֗הּ לָבֻ֥שׁ שָׁנִֽים – “She doesn’t fear for her household for snow, since all her household are dressed in crimson” (Mishlei/Proverbs 31:21). The greater a person’s need for spiritual repair, the greater the tzaddik needed to facilitate this. Reference to Likutey Moharan 30.
04:41 – מֵרָח֕וֹק יְהֹוָ֖ה נִרְאָ֣ה לִ֑י – “From afar Hashem appeared to me…” (Yirmiyahu 31:2).
06:35 – Devorah HaNeviyah brought Bnei Yisrael to teshuvah – return to Hashem. This required the element of pi sheneyim, as hinted in Shiras Devorah: אָֽנֹכִ֗י לַֽיהֹוָה֙ אָנֹכִ֣י אָשִׁ֔ירָה – “I, to the Lord I shall sing” (Shoftim 5:3).
07:47 – Eliyahu HaNavi also led Am Yisrael to teshuvah, through the pi sheneyim of Hashem Hu HaElokim, Hashem Hu HaElokim.
08:39 – כִּ֤י יִרְאֶה֙ כִּי־אָ֣זְלַת יָ֔ד וְאֶ֖פֶס עָצ֥וּר וְעָזֽוּב – “…when He sees that the power is increasing, and none is controlled or strengthened” (Devarim 32:36 – Parshas HaAzinu).

17:07 – NOTE on אָנֹכִ֨י אָנֹכִ֥י ה֛וּא מֹחֶ֥ה פְשָׁעֶ֖יךָ לְמַֽעֲנִ֑י וְחַטֹּאתֶ֖יךָ לֹ֥א אֶזְכֹּֽר – “I [indeed] I erase your transgressions for My sske, and your sins I will not remember” (Yeshayahu 43:25). Nokhach (present) and nistar (hidden). Keser is called nistar. The light needed to remove sins has to be drawn from the hidden, more elevated light. Titaharu is b’gamtria keser.
20:09 – “She is more precious than pearls” – the kohen gadol and the tzaddik emes are compared to pearls.
20:45 – Q&R about ani, anochi, hu in Hebrew. In kabbalah, we refer to lower levels in first person, while we refer to higher levels in second person, to indicate the distance. Hu refers to keser.
22:13 – Heard from Rababi Rosenfeld ז”ל – “[The blessings of] children, life, and livelihood are not received because of merit, but because of mazal – fortune.” But what about the concept that ain mazal b’Yisrael? The term mazal is a “code word” for the keser. The rachamim of Zer Anpin is lower than the rachaamim of Keser. Mazla is 3 times Y-K-V-K, which indicates that it refers to the third, highest grouping of the sefiros.
24:05 – PARAGRAPH 9. The additional sacrifice of mussaf on Shabbos, Rosh Chodesh, and Yom Tov. Reading Mikra Once and Targum twice on Erev Shabbos is another aspect of pi shneyim.
28:51 – Q&R about teshuvah on teshuvah. It’s possible that his relates to pi sheneyim, as might the concept that if Am Yisrael keeps two Shabbasim, Moshiach will arrive.
29:14 – PARAGRAPH 10. הֹוָ֗ה שָׁמַ֣עְתִּי שִׁמְעֲךָ֘ יָרֵאתִי֒ יְהֹוָ֗ה פָּֽעָלְךָ֙ בְּקֶ֚רֶב שָׁנִים֙ חַיֵּ֔יהוּ בְּקֶ֥רֶב שָׁנִ֖ים תּוֹדִ֑יעַ בְּרֹ֖גֶז רַחֵ֥ם תִּזְכּֽוֹר – “Hashem, I heard a report of You; I feared, Hashem, Your deed. In the midst of the years, revive it; in the midst of the years, let it be known. In anger You shall remember to have mercy” (Chavakuk 3:2). “Don’t read “years” – read “twice” (Sotah 49).
33:06 – NOTE – the word Chayim contains two Yuds. Tefilah is called pi sheneyim.
36:48 – This possuk refers to the concept of pi she neyim, and it’s through eliminating the subduing the ruach – spirit – of Hashem’s fire into the gentle ruach of Moshiach. When this is done, it’s possible to bring thought into action, potential into actuality, thus fulfilling the purpose of creation.
39:03 – Q&R about how a person can access pi shneyim. Torah, performing mitzvos, tefilah, tikkun habris, and observing Shabbos are all aspects of pi sheneyim.
42:23 – What is bracha? The Vilna Gaon points out: Beis is 2, Reish is 2 (200), Chaf is 2 (20).
42:50 – PARAGRAPH 11. The 13 midos shel rachamim – attributes of kindness. Rabbi Rosenfeld ז”ל went through the different opinions of chazal about what, exactly, these midos are. He concluded with the opinion of the Zohar HaKodesh:
א-ל / Hashem — mighty in compassion to give all creatures according to their need;
רַחוּם / rachum — merciful, that humankind may not be distressed;
וְחַנּוּן / ve’chanun — and gracious if humankind is already in distress;
אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם / erech apayim — slow to anger; (once, to the righteous)
אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם / erech apayim — slow to anger; (repeated again for the wicked)
וְרַב-חֶסֶד / ve’rav chesed — and plenteous in kindness;
וֶאֱמֶת / ve’emes — and truth;
נֹצֵר חֶסֶד / notzer chesed — keeping kindness
לָאֲלָפִים / la’alafim — unto thousands;
נֹשֵׂא עָוֹן / noseh avon — forgiving iniquity;
וָפֶשַׁע / vafeshah — and transgression;
וְחַטָּאָה / vechata’ah — and sin;
וְנַקֵּה / venakeh — and pardoning.
