10:30 – PARAGRAPH 1. The prohibition against eating the fat of animals offered on the mizbeyach (altar) of the Beis HaMikdash. The fire that burned on the mizbeyach had the ability to purify the negative spiritual qualities in the fat of animal sacrifices. If a person were to ingest this fat, he would be harmed by these qualities.
